Absorptometer -C

Absorptometer -C

The Absorptometer- C measures the oil absorption of pigments and inorganic fillers.

The instrument replaces the need for labor intensive, operator dependent manual rubout techniques by generating consistent and reproducible results with ease of operation. It is the primary instrument used in the Carbon Black Industry to determine the OIL number according to ASTM D 2414. Recently, its usage has expanded to the testing of silica, titania, and other mineral fillers...

Absorptometer Curve

• Evaluation fully meets ASTM D 2414 including new procedures B  (end-point at 70% of maximum torque) and C (end-point at fixed but reduced torque level)...
• Calculation of 3rd order polynomial in the significant part of the torque curve
