Auto-Grader®
The Auto-Grader® continuously determines the melt flow rate, film purity, and transparency - within seconds on-line with polymer production. Self-optimizing and automatic operation ensures optimum adaptation to the polymer to be tested. All relevant data are stored in a database and can be transmitted to a process control system.

FQA (Film Quality Analyzer)
The Film Quality Analyzer measures the transparency and optically checks the quality of blown or flat films on a laboratory or production scale. The instrument detects in-line and differentiates between black specs, gels, fish eyes, and holes...
These faults are classified acc. to their type and allocated to size classes. The film is assessed on the basis of the number of faults and their size distribution.
Evaluation is done automatically through a comfortable Windows™ 9x or NT software. All data are stored in a database and can be imported by commercial programs.
Optionally, the system can be equipped with a film marking unit for marking the faults with a time stamp. The Film Quality Analyzer can easily be installed in production or simulation lines (blown and flat film) and is suited for networking....contact C.W. Brabender for entire details...
Film Test Line
The Film Test Line is a compact unit for fully automatic optical checking of extruded films. The integrated Film Quality Analyzer detects all common faults such as gels, black specks, fisheyes, holes down to a minimum particle size of 35 µm - quickly, precisely, continuously. Film production as such is done automatically by means of an automatic film intake sequence and, in case of blown films, with bubble diameter control. The entire line can be networked...contact C.W.
