Brabender® Mini-Compounder
The Brabender® Mini-Compounder TSE 12/36 is a miniature co-rotating twin screw extruder with application to the chemical as well as the pharmaceutical industry for development of new products.
The scale-down of the machine in combination with the comprehensive adaptability to almost each processing task and the easy handling of the system, explain the distinction of the Mini-Compounder as an excellent laboratory apparatus. The Brabender® Mini-Compounder TSE 12/36 has an integrated drive with an output of 2.4 kW (3.2 HP) and reaches speeds up to max. 600 RPM.
The processing unit is a clamshell design with segmented screws. The modular screw design enables the operator to optimize the compounding application by utilizing various kneading, mixing, and shear elements of the screws. The segmented screw elements are interchangeable and can be realigned to adapt to a specific application. Even minimum samples as is especially required in the pharmaceutical industry can be processed with the Mini-Compounder making it ideal for hot melt extrusion and pharmaceutical twin screw extrusion applications.

Technical Data
The Brabender® Mini-Compounder TSE 12/36 has a barrel lengths of 36 D. Metering and/or venting ports are located at 6 D, 12 D, and 26 D with side feeding capabilities at 14 D. Furthermore, the barrel of the TSE 12/36 is divided horizontally, and can be tilted open on both sides. Allowing visual assessment of individual processing steps. Ideally suited for Research and Development applications in the chemical as well as the pharmaceutical industries.
