Planetary Mixer
The Planetary Mixer/Measuring Head provides an alternate method for measuring the plasticizer absorption of dry blended Polyvinyl Chloride resin. It has a volume capacity of 2.5 liters. The bowl, planetary blade, and fixed scraper blade are made of 316 Stainless Steel and are detachable for easy cleaning after each test.
The Planetary designed blade and a scraper achieve complete mixing by keeping material from adhering to the wall of the mixing chamber. The Planetary Mixer results have shown to correlate with resin behavior in both a ribbon blender and a Henschel Mixer.
