The Prep-Center® is designed for small batch preparation. It is an ideal instrument, for it is a dependable, cost effective drive unit that can accommodate any Brabender® Mixer/Measuring Head and/or Extruder Attachment.
The Standard unit is mounted on a heavy duty mobile floor stand, with locking foot brake, or can be supplied as a table top model.
The Prep-Center® features a 5.0 HP Vector Drive with a 2-Stage Helical Bevel gear reducer,
variable speed 2-150 RPM with electronic torque overload (24,000 Mg) protection, soft touch digital keypad for manual speed control with reverse/jog, and digital RPM and AMP readout.
The temperature control console is a separate unit with PID controls that allow the instrument to operate with simultaneous heating/cooling functions in order to maintain accurate control over the processing conditions. The unit can also be equipped with melt temperature and pressure indicators to simulate production environments, and recording capabilities.
Since the Prep-Center® can accommodate any Brabender® mixer/measuring head and/or extruder attachment, it is a necessity for any laboratory or pilot plant.
The numerous interchangeable combinations of mixers and extruders present dependability and savings in terms of time and economic cost. C.W. Brabender® offers an extensive line of mixers designed to simulate production characteristics, and various single screw and twin screw extruders for processing applications.
