Brabender is member of the network program of bio-based polymers "BioFoN"

With its membership in the network program of bio-based polymers "BioFoN" Brabender GmbH & Co. KG strengthens its commitment in the field of biopolymers and contributes to environmental and climate protection.
The Brabender GmbH & Co. KG is a member of the network program of bio-based polymers "BioFoN". The BioFoN project develops and establishes effective methods and structures that promote multilateral interactions in the value chain of science and industry through concrete development projects with a distinct interdisciplinary character. In this context, biopolymers include bio-based polymer materials, which can be either biodegradable or non-biodegradable and can contain biogenic or other fillers. The network currently comprises 133 members from research, industry and certification institutions and is intended to strengthen the development and establishment of biopolymers through project cooperations. By using bio-based raw materials, the use of fossil raw materials is reduced, thus supporting climate protection. In addition, biodegradable biopolymers will counteract the accumulation of plastic waste in nature and the oceans. |
